We provide one-on-one, private, in-home, academic, and test preparation tutoring for students K-adult. Ivy League Graduate Tutors also offers non-traditional learning services, study skills and organization, writing, CV/career and educational consultancy services.

Ivy League Graduate Tutors is entering its sixth official year, but it has been supporting students since 2001.

Ivy League Graduate Tutors has been approved by the NYS Department of Education to provide tutoring services to students of all ages and ability levels as of 2013.

How qualified are your tutors?

Ivy League Graduate Tutors foster the highest educational principles and standards, and have received their educational training, knowledge, and expertise from Ivy League universities and de-facto Ivy League universities.

Our tutors are Ivy League-educated individuals with undergraduate and/or post-graduate degrees (Masters, Ph.D., J.D.). Ivy League Graduate Tutors hold multiple advanced degrees from Ivy League institutions, adjunct professor status, and multiple years of teaching and/or tutoring experience.

How do you find your tutors?

Our tutors are hand-picked by our company’s founder.

All tutors experience a multi-step evaluative and hiring process. Many of our tutors have been working with us for years and frequently refer other qualified Ivy League Tutors to Ivy League Graduate Tutors, citing a pleasant results-driven approach to education.

I want Hallie to tutor my student. Is this possible?

While Hallie is busy with hiring new Ivy League Graduate Tutors, meeting consultancy clients, and fulfilling administrative tasks, she is available for individualized one-on-one tutoring at a customized rate.

Do you tutor advanced subjects?

Yes, absolutely! No subject is too difficult for Ivy League Graduate Tutors to teach!

We cover Science, Math, Business, Finance, Languages, Engineering, Nursing, Medicine, and more. If you do not see your subject listed, please inquire with Ivy League Graduate Tutors, as we most likely cover your requested academic subject area.

Questions about sessions

Where does tutoring take place?

Tutoring occurs in the comfort of the student’s home, usually after school hours, during both weekdays and/or weekends.

Ivy League Graduate Tutors sessions may also occur at an agreed upon public location such as a library. Sessions may also be held virtually in some circumstances.

How long are tutoring sessions?

Ivy League Graduate Tutors Academic Subject tutoring sessions occur on a weekly basis and last for 1.5 – 2 hours.

A minimum of one hour is required for academic tutoring sessions starting in elementary/middle school. High school students and above are expected to schedule session for 1.5 hours minimum. Ivy League Graduate Tutors Test preparation sessions typically occur twice weekly for 1.5 – 2 hours.

This minimum session length of 2 hours is required for test preparation tutoring sessions, starting with private school (ISEE/SSAT/COOP/HSPT) exams. Undergraduate and Graduate students for SAT/ACT/GRE/GMAT preparation are required to prepare twice weekly for a minimum of 1.5 hours, especially if sitting for an exam in less than 12 weeks.

Are sessions in person or remote?

We offer sessions for both in-person and remote formats. Remote sessions are held via video chat platforms including Skype, Facetime, and Zoom.

How much does tutoring cost?

The total cost of academic and/or test prep tutoring cost depends on the age of the student, the tutor’s level of educational and professional expertise, and the desired session frequency. Remote and in-person services require different rates.

Do you make any guarantees about results?

We guarantee a complimentary session to any student who does not witness an improvement in grades after four sessions.

While we do not guarantee exam performance, we do track student performance and progress for analysis. If you do not think your first session with your tutor is a perfect fit, we will match you with another tutor!

Questions about payments

What is your payment policy?

All clients are required to provide payment for the initial session prior to holding the session.

Clients are charged for the session 24 hours in advance according to the payment information on file. Payment plans and alternative payment arrangements are available upon request.

What type of payment do you accept electronically?

Ivy League Graduate Tutors accepts electronic payments in the form of Zelle, Quickpay (Chase), Venmo, Paypal, and credit card (service fee added).

We require submission of electronic payment to ensure the tutoring agreement and ensure that the tutor’s reserved time is compensated.

Do you have a cancellation policy?

Yes. Ivy League Graduate Tutors are busy professionals who plan ahead to block out the requested time, and last-minute cancellations result in the tutor’s inability to work with another student.

We have a 24-hour cancellation policy that we strictly enforce. Any tutoring cancelled by a family member on behalf of a student or by a student within 24 hours of the session, in addition to “no-shows”, results in the full charge at the agreed upon tutoring rate for the duration of the scheduled time.
